I had the pleasure of attending a 'street photography at night class' recently, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The tutor's friendly and patient approach made learning a breeze. This image was taken on my Sony a6000, recently converted to full spectrum. This type of conversion is great for photography on bright sunny, wispy clouds and blue sky days, but the day I visited Jodrell it was overcast, dark and rainy. That didn?t stop me from testing the new features of my camera, so I decided to shoot black and white. This convertion will also achieve some great contrasty B&W. My setting on the day were, focal length 50mm, shutter 1/80, aperture f8, ISO 200. To be honest I

I often walk along the river to photograph the wildlife in the area, Kinghiashers are often around as you'll often hear their distinctive call before you see the flash of blue fly past you just above the water. One day I decided to take a chair and a popup hide and sit on a part of the river where I've seen them fish more or less every day and I got lucky with this shot.I've watched a few videos on YouTube on how to get a Kingfisher shot and it paid off with waiting and a fair bit of patien

First off, I have to say that I am not a "Birder". But I love challenging my photographic skills and abilities. The American Kestrel is not a big bird, and it is fast. So even when you know its takeoff is imminent, it is still hard to get a nice clear photo of the bird.
